The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) formally welcomed 870 new Patrolmen and Patrolwomen into the Philippine National Police following their Oath of Office ceremony on December 17 at the PRO3 Post Grandstand, Camp Captain Julian Olivas.
Chosen from more than 3,000 applicants, the new recruits successfully passed the rigorous recruitment process, including medical, psychological, and background evaluations. The batch filled 550 attrition quota slots and 320 regular quota slots, strengthening police manpower, improving the police-to-population ratio, and enhancing operational readiness across Central Luzon.

The oath was administered by PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., after the formal presentation of the recruits by PCOL Rommel S. Batangan, Deputy Regional Director for Administration.
In his message, Peñones underscored that police service is a calling anchored on accountability and public trust, reminding the new officers of their duty to serve with integrity even in the absence of recognition. He added that the addition of new personnel supports the PNP’s Focused Agenda under Acting Chief PNP PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly in personnel development and stronger police-community relations.
The ceremony highlighted PRO3’s continued commitment to building a disciplined, professional, and people-centered police force dedicated to maintaining peace and order in Central Luzon.
