The Provincial Government of Pampanga, led by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, honored SEA Games swimming gold medalist Kayla Noelle Sanchez during a courtesy call at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center on Saturday, December 20.
Sanchez, a proud Kapampangan and one of the top performers at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, delivered a historic eight-for-eight medal finish, earning medals in all eight swimming events she entered. Her remarkable performance included three gold medals and five silver medals, placing her among the most successful swimmers of the Games.


She captured gold in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay, which set a new Philippine record, as well as in the 100-meter backstroke and 100-meter freestyle events. Several of her 0silver medal finishes also resulted in new national records in both individual and relay competitions.
Governor Pineda commended Sanchez for bringing pride and honor to Pampanga and the nation, citing her discipline, perseverance, and dedication as an inspiration to young athletes across the province.


The Capitol also recognized other Kapampangan SEA Games gold medalists: Katrina Guytingco and Justin Kobe Macario of Sta. Rita; Jamie Malonzo of San Simon; Nigel Paule of Guagua; Francis Veejay Pre of Floridablanca; Gian Santos of Mabalacat City; and Sanford Vinuya of Candaba and Sta. Ana.
The provincial government reiterated its commitment to strengthening sports development programs that nurture young talent and promote excellence and national pride.
Also present during the courtesy call were Board Member Fritzie David-Dizon, Atty. Cecil Andin, members of Sanchez’s family, and other supporters.
