The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has opened the rehabilitated sections of the EDSA Busway, specifically the southbound lane from Taft Avenue to Orense and the northbound lane from Magallanes Avenue to Orense in Makati City.
In compliance with the President’s directive to fast-track the EDSA Rehabilitation Project, DPWH is continuing intensive asphalting works on the remaining sections of the busway. These include the southbound lane from Taft Avenue to Roxas Boulevard and the northbound lane from Roxas Boulevard to Magallanes Avenue. Pavement marking works are also nearing completion.
The DOTr further announced that starting January 5, rehabilitation works along EDSA will be conducted from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the following day to minimize disruption to motorists during rush hours.
