The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has stepped up its emergency response operations as Sinulog 2026 celebrations reach their peak in Cebu, deploying additional personnel and medical resources to ensure the safety of devotees and revelers.
Under the leadership of PRC Chairman and CEO Richard J. Gordon, the Cebu Chapter mobilized 118 personnel as of January 18, supported by two ambulances and two service vans for rapid medical response.

The PRC also set up seven first aid stations and welfare desks, complemented by three on-foot patrol teams, two ambulances positioned outside the base, and two motorcycle units deployed in high-density areas to ensure faster response times.
PRC officials reported that medical teams have already attended to 53 patients during the festivities, providing timely assistance amid large crowds.
The Philippine Red Cross said it remains on full alert throughout the Sinulog celebrations, reaffirming its commitment to protect public health and safety during one of the country’s biggest religious festivals.
