Angeles City welcomed officials and employees of the Marikina City local government, led by First District Congressman Marcelino Teodoro, for a heritage and cultural tour in the city’s historic district.
The visiting delegation toured key cultural and historical landmarks, including Museo Ning Angeles, where they were introduced to the city’s initiatives in preserving its rich heritage while promoting tourism.

Among the highlights of the visit was the city’s underground cabling project, which removes electric wires from view to enhance the visual appeal of the Holy Rosary Parish Church, also known as Pisamban Maragul. The initiative aims to protect and maintain the historic character of the area while improving overall urban aesthetics.
The visit underscores Angeles City’s role as a model for integrating urban planning, heritage conservation, and tourism development. It also strengthens inter-city collaboration, allowing local government units to exchange best practices in cultural promotion, city beautification, and tourism management.
Under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II, Angeles City continues to highlight its unique history and vibrant culture while fostering a visitor-friendly environment for both tourists and residents.
