DILG turns over electric vehicle to Mariveles LGU

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has turned over a new electric vehicle to the municipal government of Mariveles to strengthen local operations and promote sustainable development.

The assistance forms part of the agency’s 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund, a performance-based program that rewards local government units meeting standards in governance and public service.

During the turnover ceremony held February 19, 2026 at the Mariveles Municipal Hall, DILG Assistant Regional Director Jay Timbreza and DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina Herman led the signing of the Certificate of Turnover and Acceptance, formally handing over the vehicle to the LGU.

The P1.153-million electric vehicle, procured on January 29, 2026, is expected to enhance the municipality’s mobility and improve the delivery of public services.

Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion said the new vehicle will help speed up municipal operations while advancing modern and sustainable development initiatives for residents.

The project highlights DILG’s continued push for responsive, innovative, and environmentally responsible local governance.
