Philippine rum maker Tanduay Distillers Inc. once again proved its global caliber, earning top honors at the prestigious PR%F Awards 2025 for both taste and design.
At this year’s competition, Tanduay Overproof secured a Gold Medal with a score of 93 in the Tasting Competition and clinched a Double Gold in the Design Competition. Meanwhile, Tanduay Reserve Rum 10 Years garnered a Silver Medal with a score of 89 in the Tasting Competition and a Gold Award for design excellence.
The PR%F Awards is recognized as one of the most respected spirits competitions worldwide, with products evaluated by leading buyers and decision-makers from hotel groups, airlines, restaurants, nightclubs, and liquor retailers across the United States and Canada. The tasting segment follows a rigorous double blind process using a 100-point rating system, while the design competition assesses packaging, storytelling, and overall shelf appeal.

Award-Winning Expressions
Tanduay Overproof, a blend of pot and column still dark rums aged in ex-bourbon oak barrels, features fruity nuances layered with woody spice notes. Bottled at 40% alcohol by volume, it offers aromas of caramel, cherry, vanilla, banana, and pear. On the palate, it delivers caramel and burnt sugar balanced by hints of oak, vanilla, and sherry, finishing medium-long and complex.
Tanduay Reserve Rum 10 Years, aged for at least a decade in ex-bourbon barrels, presents a deep amber hue and rich aromas of tropical dried fruits, toasted oak, vanilla, butterscotch, and toffee. Its smooth, rounded body carries flavors of caramel, dried fruits, and oak, with a gently woody finish accented by raisin and dark chocolate notes.
Both premium rums are available in select international wines and spirits stores.
