The Mabalacat City government, led by Mayor Geld Aquino, has started clearing and improvement works around the Mabalacat Public Market following the purchase of stalls in front of the market.

Among the initial steps was the acquisition and removal of stalls surrounding the public market to decongest the area, improve overall orderliness, and ease traffic flow at the busy market intersection.

City officials said the decades-old market has long required rehabilitation, with the current administration undertaking the effort as part of its urban improvement agenda.

The local government noted that the clearing operation marks only the beginning of a series of upgrades aimed at providing a cleaner, safer, and more comfortable public market for vendors and shoppers alike.
