Members of several Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODA) paid a courtesy visit to the office of Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. to discuss the continuing increase in gasoline and diesel prices affecting public transport operators and drivers.

The group was received by Chief Political Affairs Officer Reina Manuel, who represented Lazatin during the meeting.

Manuel announced that the congressional office will allocate fuel subsidies to help ease the financial burden faced by tricycle drivers and operators amid rising fuel costs.

The visit also served as a venue for transport leaders to raise additional concerns affecting their sector, including livelihood assistance, regulatory issues, and programs aimed at improving the welfare of drivers and operators in the district.

Manuel assured the groups that Lazatin’s office remains open to dialogue with transport stakeholders and continues to pursue policies and initiatives that support the transport sector while promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities for drivers and operators.
