Bella Manuel, daughter of Reina Manuel, Chief Political Affairs Officer of Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr., donated toys to children at the Home for the Girls as a simple act of sharing joy and compassion.
The donation aimed to bring smiles and happiness to the young residents of the shelter, with the toys expected to provide entertainment and a sense of hope in their daily lives.
The Home for the Girls is a residential care facility that offers temporary shelter, protection, and various support services to young girls who have experienced abuse, neglect, or other difficult life situations.
According to Reina Manuel, it is important to instill the values of generosity and compassion in children at an early age.
She added that the gesture shows how acts of kindness and sharing can begin within the family.
Bella had earlier demonstrated the same spirit of generosity in 2020 when she donated the proceeds from the sale of her paintings, which were displayed at the city’s One Town One Product (OTOP) shop, to help a child suffering from Hydrocephalus.
