The Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) has placed its entire expressway network on heightened alert for the expected surge of motorists during the Semana Santa exodus, rolling out its annual “Biyaheng Arangkada” motorist assistance program from March 27 to April 6, 2026.

Covered under the program are major tollways including the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), NLEX Connector, Cavite Expressway, Cavite–Laguna Expressway, and Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway.
The initiative is being implemented in coordination with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) for SCTEX and the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) through PEA Tollway Corporation for CAVITEX.
MPTC said it has deployed additional personnel across its network to strengthen traffic management, expedite incident response, and ensure efficient toll operations during the peak travel period. The program is aimed at maintaining safety and mobility as thousands of Filipinos travel to provinces to observe Holy Week traditions.
Motorist assistance measures include the establishment of strategically located roadside assistance stations, standby medical teams at key stops, and the availability of electric vehicle charging stations and free Wi-Fi in selected NLEX and SCTEX rest areas. Free 24/7 basic mechanical services will also be provided in these areas.
In addition, free towing services to the nearest exit will be offered to Class 1 vehicles from 6:00 a.m. of March 27 until 6:00 a.m. of April 6. круглосуточная customer support is also accessible via hotline 1-35000 and the MPT DriveHub mobile application.
To help ease congestion, MPTC has suspended roadworks, lane closures, and maintenance activities throughout the period. Traffic management teams are also prepared to implement counterflow schemes when necessary.
Motorists are advised to plan their trips outside peak hours, particularly along NLEX, where heavy northbound traffic is expected from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon, and increased southbound volume is anticipated over the weekend and early Monday morning.
Travelers are also urged to ensure sufficient RFID balance, conduct vehicle checks prior to departure, remain well-rested, and strictly follow traffic rules. Real-time updates will be provided through official social media channels and the MPT DriveHub app.
