BOC Clark, CBSA boost security training

Lane Examiners and Flight Supervisors of the Passenger Service and Processing Division (PSPD) of the Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark took part in an in-depth discussion on border operations to combat transnational organized crime, led by Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Liaison Officer in Manila, Lisa MacIntyre.

Drawing from her extensive background in border security and enforcement, MacIntyre shared insights on intelligence sharing, passenger profiling, and effective strategies for detecting and intercepting high-risk movements at ports of entry.

District Collector Jairus S. Reyes expressed appreciation for the continued capacity-building efforts, noting that strengthening the skills and knowledge of frontline personnel enhances the port’s ability to secure borders while facilitating legitimate travel.

The activity also underscored the growing partnership between the Bureau of Customs and the CBSA, paving the way for further training initiatives, knowledge exchange, and collaborative efforts to strengthen border security operations.
