At least 200 kids were inoculated during the first day of pediatric COVID-19 jabs at the Kids Vaccination Hub in SM City Tarlac on Monday, February 28.
The doctors, nurses, and staff of the Provincial Government of Tarlac were all dressed in different and colorful characters to give a pleasant vaccination experience. The vaccination area is specifically designed and set up for kids to look like a children’s party to add fun to the overall experience.
First, the children will be checked by a healthcare worker prior to the administration of the vaccine. Once checked, the kids will enter a playful-looking vaccination booth and will be given a colorful band aid sticker. After that, they have the option to play at the amusement arcade corner for free. All vaccinated kids can get a cotton candy, popcorn, and goodies from SM Foodcourt.
Parents accompanied their children during the inoculation. The three Litang brothers from San Rafael, Tarlac are all smiles after receiving their first dose of Pfizer vaccines.
Resbukuna kids from 5-11 year old started to roll out on February 11 in Tarlac Provincial Hospital. The management of SM City Tarlac continues to work hand in hand with the government’s Resbakuna as it continues to provide vaccination sites that follow safety protocols.
