The Department of Environment and Natural Resources expressed support for the Philippine Wood Producers Association during the PHILWOOD Expo and Conference 2026 held in Central Luzon, highlighting the importance of sustainability and innovation in the country’s wood industry.
In his message, DENR Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo emphasized the vital role of the wood industry in economic development through job generation, livelihood opportunities, enterprise growth, trade, construction, manufacturing, and innovation.






Pablo also stressed the need for stronger collaboration among government agencies, industry leaders, foresters, manufacturers, designers, investors, suppliers, and local communities to ensure the responsible and sustainable use of forest resources.
He commended the Philippine Wood Producers Association for creating a platform that encourages dialogue, partnerships, and practical solutions for a greener and more competitive wood and furniture industry.
Carrying the theme “From Forest to Future: Revitalizing the Philippine Wood Industry for the Next Generation,” the conference aimed to strengthen cooperation and promote a more productive, resilient, and sustainable Philippine wood sector.
