The Provincial Government of Tarlac, through the Provincial Tourism Office, has released the lineup of activities for the celebration of the province’s 153rd founding anniversary.
Established as a province on May 28, 1873, Tarlac will hold a five-day “Araw ng Lalawigan” celebration from May 24 to 29, featuring various sports, cultural, health, and community activities.




Prior to the anniversary celebration, the province will also stage “Tarlac Musica 2026” at the Bulwagang KanLahi in Diwa ng Tarlac, featuring local artists Lem Medios, MC Park, Sub A, and Kier Adam.
The schedule of activities is as follows:
May 16-17 – “Tarlac Musica 2026” at Bulwagang KanLahi, Diwa ng Tarlac; unveiling of Tarlac National Art Competition paintings to be displayed in provincial hospitals
May 24 – Enduro Attack at the Monasterio Bike Trail in Lubigan, San Jose
May 25 – Bloodletting activity at the Bulwagan ng mga Gobernador, Tarlac Capitol
May 26 – Incident Command System Executive Course at the Old SP Session Hall
May 27 – Dog Fun Show at Maria Cristina Park
May 28 – “Takbo Tarlac” fun run at the Capitol grounds; flag-raising ceremony; free theoretical driving course at Bulwagang KanLahi; free legal assistance at the Bulwagan ng mga Gobernador
May 29 – Medical and dental mission at the Bulwagan ng mga Gobernador; Laro ng Lahi and feeding program at Maria Cristina Park
Under Proclamation No. 109, May 28 is declared a special holiday throughout the province of Tarlac. The date is also observed nationwide as National Flag Day. (PIO)
