Philippine Airlines, Qatar Airways expand partnership, loyalty benefits

Philippine Airlines and Qatar Airways are strengthening their strategic partnership by expanding network connectivity and enhancing travel rewards for loyalty program members.

Beginning June 1, 2026, Philippine Airlines will place its PR code on Qatar Airways flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao to Doha and onward to more than 20 major European destinations, including Paris, Rome, and Frankfurt through Hamad International Airport.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways will place its QR code on select Philippine Airlines domestic routes, allowing international travelers arriving in Manila and Cebu seamless access to popular local destinations such as Boracay via Caticlan and Puerto Princesa.

The expansion builds on the codeshare partnership first launched by the two airlines in June 2025 and is expected to unlock access to over 40 additional destinations for global travelers.

As part of the enhanced collaboration, Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club and Philippine Airlines’ Mabuhay Miles programs also formalized a loyalty partnership that will allow members to collect and redeem rewards across both airline networks.

Privilege Club members can now earn and spend Avios on Philippine Airlines flights across Southeast Asia, Australasia, the United States, and domestic Philippine destinations including Cebu, Clark, and Davao.

Likewise, Mabuhay Miles members can collect and redeem miles on Qatar Airways’ extensive global network, including destinations across Europe and Africa.

The partnership also broadens travel and lifestyle reward options for both loyalty programs, including flight rewards, upgrades, holiday packages, dining, shopping, and other exclusive benefits.

Philippine Airlines recently earned recognition from Cirium as the Asia-Pacific’s Most Punctual Airline for 2025, reflecting its focus on operational reliability and service efficiency.

Qatar Airways, meanwhile, was named World’s Best Airline by Skytrax in 2025 and also received Platinum recognition from aviation analytics firm Cirium for operational performance and reliability.

Both airlines said the expanded partnership aims to provide passengers with greater connectivity, smoother travel experiences, and enhanced loyalty rewards across their combined global networks.
