Mexico Town earns 2025 Child-Friendly Governance Seal

The Municipality of Mexico has been awarded the 2025 Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance after successfully passing the 2025 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit.

Under the leadership of Rodencio ‘Ruding’ Gonzales, the local government continues to strengthen programs promoting the welfare, protection, and development of children in the municipality.

The recognition was formally received by Mayor Gonzales together with Vice Mayor Jonathan R. Pangan, Councilors Allaine Ramos, Ludet Sicat, and Vince Balajadia, along with department heads of the municipal government.

The award was signed by Rex Gatchalian and Juanito Victor Remulla.

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, headed by Sharmaine Pabustan-Sigua, also played a key role in the municipality’s successful attainment of the award.

Meanwhile, Myra B. Moral-Soriano, CESO V, personally presented the award plaque to Mayor Gonzales and other town officials in recognition of Mexico’s continued promotion of child-centered governance.
