Search and rescue operations continued without pause through the night at the site of the collapsed building in Balibago, Angeles City, as responders pushed through darkness and difficult conditions in hopes of finding survivors beneath the rubble.
Rescue teams have been exhausting all available resources and efforts to detect any possible signs of life inside the collapsed structure. Thermal scanners, K9 search units, and other specialized equipment are being utilized to ensure that every step of the operation is both thorough and safe.
Under the Unified Command System, Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II personally remained at the scene as Responsible Officer, closely monitoring and coordinating response efforts among various agencies.
Working alongside the Angeles City government are the Bureau of Fire Protection, ACDRRMO, Philippine National Police, CSWDO, ACTDO, and several local and national response units assisting in the ongoing operations.
The Angeles City LGU also assured continuous assistance for affected individuals while prioritizing proper traffic management to allow the swift and safe movement of emergency vehicles within the operational area.
Authorities reminded the public that every stage of debris removal follows strict life-saving protocols, emphasizing that safety remains the top priority throughout the operation.
Rescue teams from neighboring areas and national agencies continue to stand in solidarity with the Angeles City LGU as operations carry on around the clock.
Officials are appealing for the public’s understanding, support, and prayers for the safety of all responders and the possible survivors still trapped beneath the debris.
