Qualified beneficiaries of the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) Batch 3 recently attended an orientation conducted by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Angeles City as part of the city’s continuing efforts to provide employment opportunities for young Angeleños.
The beneficiaries are set to render service from June 8 to July 4, 2026. Most of the participants are students currently on their semestral break, allowing them to gain valuable work experience while earning additional support for their educational needs.

During the orientation, participants were briefed on the program’s guidelines, responsibilities, and expectations to prepare them for their assignments in various offices of the Angeles City Government.
The SPES is a program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) that aims to help students and out-of-school youth continue their education through temporary employment opportunities. The program also seeks to develop participants’ skills, discipline, and experience in public service.
Under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II, the city government continues to support initiatives that provide equal opportunities for young people to learn, work, and prepare for their future without the need for political connections or endorsements.
The program forms part of Angeles City’s commitment to empowering the youth through accessible employment and skills development opportunities.
