Globe network restoration in earthquake-hit areas near 100%

Globe restores network services in 31 of 32 quake-hit municipalities in Mindanao, nearing full recovery as restoration and relief efforts continue across affected communities in Southern Mindanao.

According to Globe, network services have been fully restored in the provinces of Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga del Norte, South Cotabato, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani.

Restoration teams remain deployed in areas still experiencing intermittent signal, particularly in locations where commercial power outages continue to affect telecommunications facilities.

Free Communication and Connectivity Services
To help residents stay connected, Globe has activated Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng Wi-Fi (LTLCLW) sites in General Santos City, offering free calls, device charging, and internet access.

The following sites are operational from June 11 to 13, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.:

  • Purok Balite, Barangay Lagao, General Santos City
  • Hicban Village, Barangay Lagao, General Santos City

Connectivity Assistance for Affected Customers
As part of its #AlagangGlobe earthquake response, Globe has rolled out emergency connectivity support in South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani.

The assistance includes:

  • Globe Prepaid: Free 1GB satellite data and 50 satellite SMS, valid for seven days
  • Globe Platinum and Postpaid: Free 2GB satellite data and unlimited satellite SMS, valid for 60 days
  • Globe Rewards and GCash: Customers may donate to the Ayala Foundation’s relief initiatives through the GlobeOne app or via GCash to support affected communities

Relief Operations Ongoing
Alongside network restoration efforts, Globe, through the Ayala Foundation, has begun distributing relief assistance to earthquake-affected residents.

An initial 200 relief packs were distributed in Purok Balite, Barangay Lagao, General Santos City, in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and local government partners. The Ayala Foundation is also conducting a needs assessment with local authorities to determine additional assistance required by affected communities.

To further bolster recovery efforts, #BrigadangAyala, together with the WeAreAyala Business Club (WAABC) Davao, will deploy an additional 1,300 relief packs beginning June 16. The assistance will be distributed directly to Globe and Ayala Group partner communities in heavily affected areas.

How to Donate Globe Rewards Points
Globe customers who wish to support ongoing relief operations may donate their Globe Rewards points to the Ayala Foundation by following these steps:

  1. Open or download the GlobeOne App
  2. Tap the “Rewards” button
  3. Search for Ayala Foundation
  4. Send available Rewards points
