A total of 9,899 residents from coastal barangays in Masantol and Macabebe received assistance under the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Food-for-Work program on June 18.

The beneficiaries came from the barangays of Sapang Kawayan, Nigui, Sagrada Familia, Bagang, Balibago, Alauli, Candelaria, Bebe Matua, and Bebe Anac, communities regularly affected by flooding during high tide.

Vice Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda personally checked on residents together with 4th District Board Members Kaye Naguit and Vince Calara to ensure that needed services reached affected communities. Joining the activity were Masantol Mayor Danilo Guinto, Masantol Vice Mayor Liezel Buday Guinto, Lubao Vice Mayor Jay Montemayor, and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office head Fe Manarang.

The assistance was implemented through the DSWD in partnership with the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
