A total of ₱11.6 million in subsidies was distributed to 58 barangays from five Pampanga municipalities on Monday under the national government’s “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang Program.”
The assistance forms part of the Presidential Assistance program of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. through the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF).

The first batch of beneficiaries included barangays from Sta. Rita (10), Sta. Ana (14), Apalit (12), Minalin (15), and Santo Tomas (7). Each barangay received ₱200,000 in financial assistance, which was personally distributed by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Half of the subsidy, amounting to ₱100,000 per barangay, was earmarked for educational assistance, benefiting five college scholars who will each receive ₱20,000 to help support their studies.
The remaining ₱100,000 will fund barangay-identified development projects, including the purchase of CCTV cameras, monoblock chairs and tents, industrial fans, patrol vehicles, and other essential office equipment.
Provincial officials said the program aims to strengthen grassroots development while providing direct support for education and community-based initiatives.
