BSP honors heroic Scout Chris Lorenz Fabian

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) has posthumously awarded its highest distinction, the Gold Gallantry and Heroism Award, to Scout Chris Lorenz Fabian, who died while protecting his classmates during the June 22 shooting at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City.

BSP International Commissioner Mark Roy L. Boado and Deputy Secretary General David Dominic M. Lanuza presented the medal and certificate to Fabian’s family on June 26 in recognition of the 15-year-old Grade 10 student’s courage and selfless sacrifice.

According to the BSP, Fabian’s actions helped save the lives of his classmates. The organization also expressed its condolences to his family and said his legacy would continue to inspire scouts across the country.
