The Angeles City Government immediately extended assistance to families affected by a fire in Barangay Ninoy Aquino on July 2, following the directive of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) reported that 28 families were affected by the incident. Of these, 25 families, or 98 individuals, received Psychological First Aid (PFA), along with food and non-food assistance to address their immediate needs.
The city also noted that the Angeles City Command Center and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Angeles City responded promptly, allowing firefighters to quickly contain the blaze. No casualties or injuries were reported.
The local government said it continues to coordinate with concerned agencies to ensure sustained assistance for affected families while authorities investigate the cause of the fire.
