The Municipal Government of Mexico has intensified its cleanup and desilting operations of rivers and creeks in Barangay San Patricio as part of ongoing flood mitigation efforts.
Led by Mayor Rodencio “Ruding” S. Gonzales, the initiative aims to ensure the smooth flow of waterways and reduce the risk of flooding, especially during the rainy season.
The program is supported by Vice Mayor Dr. Jonathan R. Pangan and the Sangguniang Bayan, reinforcing the local government’s efforts to protect agricultural livelihoods and strengthen community preparedness.
Municipal officials said the continuous clearing operations reflect the administration’s proactive approach to disaster risk reduction, emphasizing that public service must prioritize prevention and long-term solutions rather than response alone.
