Soliman EC, Manila Water expand wastewater program

Pampanga-based Soliman EC Septic Tank Disposal has entered into a strategic partnership with Manila Water Company to strengthen household sanitation and wastewater management services across Metro Manila and Rizal.

The collaboration is expected to benefit more than 1.2 million households in the East Zone of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) franchise area through Manila Water’s Sanitasyon Para sa Barangay program, which provides septic tank desludging services to concessionaires every five years.

Under the partnership, Soliman EC will deploy its fleet of vacuum trucks and technical personnel to augment Manila Water’s desludging operations in the 23 cities and municipalities within its concession area in eastern Metro Manila and Rizal.

Soliman EC President Epitacio Soliman Jr. said the partnership is expected to increase the volume of treated septage, improve household sanitation, and support the long-term rehabilitation of Manila Bay.

The company, a long-time provider of wastewater management services, also maintains partnerships with local government units and water service providers in Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Tarlac, and Bataan. It has expanded its operations to Metro Manila through branches in Pasay and Quezon City, and also operates sewage treatment plants in Leyte and Cagayan de Oro.
