CSWDO conducts child reach-out ops in Brgy. Sto. Rosario

The Angeles City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) conducted a child protection reach-out operation in Barangay Sto. Rosario as part of the city government’s continuing efforts to safeguard the welfare of children.

The operation covered the areas around Sandra Mall, Nepo Mall, Totobits, Sto. Rosario Elementary School, and Angeles University Foundation. A total of 10 individuals were reached, including six minors and four adults. Four of the six children were brought to the Kanlungan ng Kabataan for proper processing and intervention to ensure their safety and well-being.

CSWDO personnel also conducted an information and awareness campaign on the Anti-Mendicancy Law (Presidential Decree No. 1563) and the Anti-Child Labor Act (Republic Act No. 9231), reminding parents, guardians, and the public of their shared responsibility to protect children from begging and child labor.

The activity was carried out in coordination with the Angeles City Social Welfare and Development Office, Angeles City Tourist Information and Visitors Engagement (ACTIVE), and officials of Barangay Sto. Rosario.

Under the leadership of Mayor Jon Lazatin, the Angeles City Government continues to strengthen child protection programs and encourages the public to report children in need of assistance or protection so they can receive appropriate intervention.
