The Mabalacat City government has distributed metal detectors to all public schools under the Department of Education (DepEd), following Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino’s directive to further strengthen campus security and student safety.

Mayor Aquino personally led the turnover of the metal detectors, saying the initiative aims to enhance security measures in schools, safeguard students and teachers, and give parents greater peace of mind while their children are in class.

The procurement of the devices forms part of the city government’s continuing efforts to provide a safer learning environment across Mabalacat.

Mayor Aquino also announced that private schools in the city will be the next recipients of metal detectors, ensuring that both public and private educational institutions benefit from improved security measures for students, teachers, and school personnel.
