Cebu Pacific earns recognition for Gender Equality, Workplace Inclusivity

Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) has been recognized by the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (PBCWE) for its efforts in promoting gender equality and workplace inclusion, becoming the first and only local airline assessed under the organization’s Gender Equality Assessment, Results and Strategies (GEARS) framework.

The recognition followed CEB’s completion of 17 initiatives covering leadership accountability, flexible work arrangements, workplace safety, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

The airline’s diversity, equity, and inclusion programs include expanded healthcare benefits for same-sex and common-law partners, mandatory DEI training for leaders and new employees, and the Juan CEB Community (JCC), an employee resource group supporting women, LGBTQIA+ employees, solo parents, and persons with disabilities.

CEB also continues to strengthen inclusive opportunities beyond its workforce through programs such as the FLY Internship Program, which recently welcomed Deaf student interns from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde’s School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies.

The airline reported continued progress in gender representation, with women comprising 54% of its management workforce, including growing participation in technical and operational roles such as aviation.

CEB Chief Human Resources Officer Felix Lopez said the recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to creating a workplace where employees can grow and succeed through sustained inclusion efforts.
