BDO Unibank executives underscored Pampanga’s growing role as one of Central Luzon’s fastest-expanding economic centers during a media briefing on Thursday, highlighting the province’s increasing adoption of digital banking, cashless transactions, and financial services that support both consumers and businesses.
Held at the SMX Convention Center Clark, the BDO Business Talk: Press Briefing brought together bank executives and Pampanga media representatives for a discussion on the region’s evolving financial landscape, covering topics ranging from the economic outlook for the remainder of 2026 to digital payments, financial inclusion, investments, and business banking.

BDO officials noted that a new generation of digitally connected and financially aware Kapampangans is driving demand for more convenient and accessible banking solutions. At the same time, the province’s expanding business sector is increasingly embracing digital banking, bank financing, and cash management solutions to improve operational efficiency and support growth.
The briefing featured insights from Romel Libo-on, Senior Assistant Vice President and Head of Research of BDO’s Investment Management Trust and Investments Group, on the economic outlook for the rest of the year, while Dave Khodr, Vice President and Head of Digital Acquisition of the Consumer Banking Group, discussed the continued rise of digital payment adoption.
Anna Marie Teresa “Poopsie” Lim, First Vice President and Area Head for Pampanga-Bataan, also shared insights on customers’ evolving financial journeys and how BDO is responding to changing banking preferences.
Supporting the discussions were resource persons from BDO’s remittance, agency banking, cash management, branch banking, insurance, and MSME banking units, who highlighted services designed to make financial products more accessible for individuals, entrepreneurs, and enterprises.
BDO emphasized that it continues to combine its extensive branch network with digital capabilities to support customers through every stage of their financial journey—from saving, payments, and borrowing to business operations, investments, and financial protection.
In Pampanga alone, BDO currently operates 29 BDO Unibank branches, eight BDO Network Bank branches, and 202 Cash Agad partner-agents, reinforcing its commitment to expanding financial access and inclusion across the province.
