The Angeles City Environmental Management System (EMS) and City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) continue to conduct daily cleaning and clearing operations along roads, drainage systems, waterways, rivers, and other public areas as part of the city’s campaign for a cleaner and safer Angeles City.
Under the directive of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II, the second phase of the City Command Center enhancement is also underway, including the installation of additional CCTV cameras along road dikes to strengthen monitoring and help identify violations of the city’s Environmental Code.
Residents are reminded that dumping garbage into rivers, creeks, canals, and drainage systems is strictly prohibited as it can cause clogged waterways, flooding, foul odors, and health hazards.
Under City Ordinance No. 431, Series of 2017, as amended by Ordinance No. 765, Series of 2026, violators face the following penalties:
Individuals
- 1st Offense: ₱500
- 2nd Offense: ₱1,000
- 3rd Offense: ₱3,000 and possible imprisonment of 1 to 3 months, or both fine and imprisonment.
Business Establishments
- 1st Offense: ₱1,000
- 2nd Offense: ₱3,000
- 3rd Offense: ₱5,000, revocation of business permit, and possible imprisonment.
Residents living near rivers and waterways are advised to place properly segregated waste outside their homes 30 minutes before the scheduled collection time for pickup by authorized garbage collectors.
Barangay officials and Solid Waste Management Coordinators are likewise urged to strengthen monitoring and promote proper waste segregation and disposal in their respective communities.
