BDO Unibank, Inc. reported a net income of ₱40.7 billion in the first half of 2026, slightly up from ₱40.6 billion in the same period last year, as its core businesses sustained strong operating momentum.
Highlights:
💹 Loan portfolio grew 15% to ₱3.9 trillion, driven by broad-based double-digit growth across all segments and outpacing industry growth.
💹 Pre-provision operating profit increased 12%, supported by robust lending activity and disciplined cost management.
💹 Net interest income rose 11%, while non-interest income grew 4%, led by a 14% increase in insurance operations.
💹 Asset quality improved, with the NPL ratio declining to 1.64% from 1.75% a year earlier and NPL coverage reaching 132%.
💹 Capital remained strong, with the CET1 ratio at 13.1% and book value per share rising 8% to ₱121.78.
BDO said increased provisions reflected a prudential approach to evolving risks, while its strong business fundamentals and healthy balance sheet position the bank to navigate uncertainties and pursue opportunities in a changing business environment.
