The Pampanga provincial government strengthened the capabilities of 4,071 barangay tanods from nine municipalities and cities in the province as first responders during disasters and emergencies and as partners of law enforcement in maintaining peace and order.

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the gathering held at the Lubao Gymnasium and Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, where briefings were provided by representatives from the Pampanga Police Provincial Office, PDEA, and DOST-PAGASA.

The program also included the distribution of free medicines from the provincial government, ₱3,000 in cash assistance from the DSWD, and rice from President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in support of the barangay tanods’ continued service to their communities.
