The Makati Chemotherapy Center has opened to provide residents with more accessible and free chemotherapy services, helping ease the financial burden of cancer treatment.
Located at JM Bldg. 1, Gate 4, 1069 Arthur St., the center is operated by We Hope Medical Group and offers oncology consultations, laboratory diagnostics, free chemotherapy sessions covered by PhilHealth, cancer assistance funds, and other local government programs.
The center’s launch was attended by Dr. Bernard See, OIC of the Makati City Health Department, who welcomed the expansion of We Hope Medical Group’s healthcare services in the city.
Staffed by licensed oncology doctors and equipped with modern treatment facilities, the center operates Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The initiative comes as cancer remains a major health concern in the Philippines. Philippine Statistics Authority data showed that cancer was the country’s second leading cause of death in 2025, recording 58,656 deaths from January to October.
We Hope Medical Group said it aims to expand access to affordable and sustainable cancer care through partnerships with local governments, national agencies and communities, with a target of 100 operational centers by year-end.
