Dizon maps long-term flood control for Hagonoy

DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon outlined immediate and long-term measures to address persistent flooding in Hagonoy during his visit to the town.

Dizon said completion of the town’s 9-kilometer dike is set to begin in 2027, covering unfinished, damaged, and unconstructed sections designed to shield Hagonoy from high tides and help drain back-flooding from Pampanga and Nueva Ecija.

He also announced that the Asian Development Bank has approved the construction of a mega road-dike stretching from Metro Manila to Bataan.
