The third 8-car Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) trainset for the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Malolos-Tutuban segment has arrived in the Philippines and is undergoing the Bureau of Customs’ importation process.
The trainset is scheduled for delivery to the Malanday Depot in Valenzuela City once the necessary procedures are completed.
Transportation Secretary Banoy Lopez said the NSCR construction remains on track, in line with the government’s goal of completing the project on time and improving commuter travel.
Lopez also assured that the trainsets underwent thorough inspection to ensure their quality, safety, and reliability for future passengers.
