𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒈
The third missing passenger in the August 29 collapse of Agana Bridge in Tarlac City was found dead along the riverbank of Barangay Tampog in Bayambang, Pangasinan, on the morning of September 5.
The victim was identified by family members as Sheila Mae Taborlupa, one of four passengers aboard a gray Toyota Avanza SUV that plunged into the Tarlac River when the bridge gave way amid raging waters brought by the southwest monsoon, or Habagat.
Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap accompanied Taborlupa’s family to Bayambang for the identification of her remains.
Earlier, James Patrick Taborlupa was recovered in Barangay Carael, Lingayen, Pangasinan, on August 31, while Shanen Tuhao was found dead in Barangay San Vicente, Bayambang, on September 1.
The ill-fated SUV was also recovered after being found deeply buried in the riverbed at Sitio Paninaan, Barangay Caranhian, just a few hundred meters from Agana Bridge.
Search and retrieval operations remain underway for Paul Harvey Collado, the last remaining missing passenger, with personnel from the Tarlac and Pangasinan disaster response councils, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Air Force, and other agencies involved in the operation.
