Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon personally visited Masantol, Pampanga to assess the town’s flood situation and ongoing measures to address flooding.

Mayor Danilo Guintu presented the local government’s flood-mitigation initiatives, including the construction of earth dikes and operation of pumping stations.

Dizon praised the initiatives, describing them as a “model” for flood mitigation, while assuring the local government of continued DPWH support.

The DPWH secretary also committed to sustained coordination with the Masantol LGU to help address the town’s recurring flooding concerns and strengthen measures for flood protection.
