GCash brings investing closer to more Filipinos through GStocks PH

Finance super app GCash is expanding access to stock market investing through GStocks PH, its in-app stock trading platform that allows Filipinos to invest directly from their mobile phones.

Through GInvest, users can complete paperless registration and access GStocks PH, as well as other investment products such as GFunds and GBonds, within the GCash platform.

GStocks PH currently serves more than 2 million users through broker AB Capital Securities Inc., as online investing continues to gain ground among Filipino retail investors.

The Philippine Stock Exchange’s 2025 Stock Market Investor Profile report showed that total stock market accounts increased by 27.3 percent to 3.64 million in 2025. Retail investors accounted for 99.2 percent of these accounts, while online retail accounts grew by 30.5 percent year-on-year.

Digital Platforms Driving Inclusion
The growth of online investing reflects the increasing role of digital platforms in reducing traditional barriers to stock market participation. GStocks PH’s streamlined onboarding allows more Filipinos to explore investing directly through the GCash app.

“By improving digital access to investing, an area that was once traditionally reserved for the privileged few, we are helping create pathways for more Filipinos to build a more secure financial future,” said Winsley Bangit, Group Head of New Businesses at Mynt, the parent company of GCash.

Alongside easier market access, GCash is strengthening financial literacy through market research and beginner-friendly investment guidance available through GStocks PH.

The platform has also introduced Pera Coach, an AI-powered tool that provides on-demand educational tips and investment information.

“Beyond making access to investing more convenient, we’re doubling down on our financial literacy efforts to help Filipinos better understand and use the tools we provide,” Bangit said.

Through GStocks PH, GCash continues to combine digital accessibility with financial education, giving more Filipinos an entry point into the local capital markets.
