Mabalacat City Mayor Geld Aquino signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and the Department of Education (DepEd) on September 24 for funding support for the construction of the Mabalacat City Science High School building.

The signing was held at the PAGCOR main office in Pasay City, with DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco, and Pampanga Gov. Lilia G. Pineda joining Aquino.

The funding is expected to support the construction of the city’s first science high school, a project pushed by Aquino to expand access to quality education and provide more opportunities for Mabalacat’s students.

Aquino has identified education as a priority of his administration, pursuing programs and partnerships with the national government to expand school facilities across the city.

Also present during the MOA signing were Mabalacat City Administrator Oscar Deang Jr. and City Engineer Rod De Leon.
