A man was caught allegedly damaging the concrete river wall along Diversion Road in Barangay Amsic, Angeles City, on September 29, 2026.

The Angeles City Traffic Development Office (ACTDO) Special Operations Team (SOT) stopped the man while he was reportedly demolishing part of the concrete structure. He claimed he had been instructed by a woman to dismantle the river wall.

The man and the woman he identified were brought to the Amsic Barangay Hall for investigation and appropriate legal action.

Authorities reminded the public that damaging concrete fences, flood-control structures, slope protection, and other protective infrastructure along the Abacan River is prohibited.

The city urged residents to remain vigilant and help protect public infrastructure designed to safeguard communities from flooding and other hazards.
