Aboitiz Foods, through Pilmico Foods Corporation (Pilmico), and the Philippine Army have renewed their partnership under the Livelihood Assistance and Management Program (LAMP), extending a joint effort to equip servicemen, their families, and Army personnel with practical skills and livelihood opportunities.
The partnership was formalized on September 29, 2026 through a renewed Memorandum of Understanding, extending a collaboration that began in 2018.
LAMP complements the Philippine Army’s Transition Assistance Program by helping retiring and separating personnel prepare for life beyond military service through technical training and livelihood opportunities.
Aboitiz Foods President and CEO Tristan R. Aboitiz said the program’s continued implementation reflects the strength of the partnership between the private sector and the military.
Under the renewed five-year agreement, retiring or separating personnel, active Army members, and their dependents will have access to training in agribusiness, poultry and hog raising, bakery management, feeds retailing, and The Good Meat Reseller Program, among other livelihood areas.
Pilmico will provide subject-matter experts, technical trainers, baking materials, and technical assistance to participants pursuing livelihood opportunities using Pilmico flour and feeds.
The Philippine Army, meanwhile, will facilitate participant engagement and provide venues and logistical support for program activities. Both parties will also monitor the program and assess its effectiveness to guide future improvements.
Creating opportunities beyond service
The program will be implemented through activities in Philippine Army camps nationwide, giving participants knowledge and skills they can potentially apply to livelihood and entrepreneurship ventures.
Philippine Army Personnel Management Center Director Colonel John Mark S. Competente ARM (GSC) PA underscored the importance of continued learning, guidance, access to opportunities, and strong partnerships in sustaining livelihood initiatives.
Since its launch in 2018, LAMP has provided livelihood training to more than 1,500 servicemen and women.
Through Pilmico, Aboitiz Foods continues to contribute its expertise in food and agribusiness while working with the Philippine Army to align the program with the needs of its participants.
The renewed partnership will run for five years, providing a framework for both organizations to further develop the program and create livelihood pathways for servicemen, their dependents, and families.
The initiative supports Aboitiz Foods’ brand promise, “Together We Nourish the Future,” by extending its focus beyond food to building capabilities, livelihood opportunities, and more secure futures for communities.
