The scorching heat did not stop relief efforts as 1,312 residents of the City of San Fernando received grocery food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at the San Agustin Covered Court.

The distribution was part of the continuing relief assistance of the DSWD in partnership with the Pampanga provincial government to provide support to Kapampangans in need.

Representing Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, the distribution was led by Executive Assistant IV and Chief of Staff to the Vice Governor Angie Blanco, PSWD Officer Fe Manarang, and PDRRMO Chief Francis Alingcastre, together with Board Member Lucky Labung and representatives from DSWD Field Office III.

The provincial government said the continued collaboration between national and local agencies is aimed at ensuring that essential assistance reaches affected and vulnerable communities despite challenges and changing conditions.
