Food, music, and culinary talent took center stage as Mekeni Food Corporation joined hotels, restaurants, resorts, industry partners, chefs, and students in celebrating Pampanga’s vibrant food and hospitality scene at the recently concluded Clark Food and Music Festival and 11th Cook Off Challenge of Hotels, Restaurants, Resorts and Partners in Pampanga (HARRPP).
Held October 3-4 at the Clark Parade Grounds, the two-day celebration brought together culinary enthusiasts and professionals from across Luzon, with students competing on the first day and professional chefs from hotels and restaurants taking over the kitchen on the second.
As one of the festival’s major sponsors, Mekeni added its own flavor to the celebration through its Mekeni Specials 4Cheese Sausage and Hungarian Sausage with Cheese, giving festival-goers a chance to sample two of its premium sausage offerings.
The brand also set up a sampling and selling booth where visitors could taste and purchase the products, creating an opportunity for Mekeni to connect directly with consumers while showcasing the versatility and premium taste of its sausages.
Adding a playful touch to the festivities was the Mekeni Sausage Eating Contest, which drew enthusiastic participants and spectators and brought plenty of excitement to the festival grounds.
Beyond the culinary competition, live bands kept the Clark Parade Grounds buzzing, creating a festive atmosphere that brought together families, food lovers, students, hospitality professionals, and industry supporters.
The HARRPP Cook Off Challenge, meanwhile, provided a platform for both aspiring and seasoned culinary professionals to demonstrate their creativity, technical skills, and passion for food—reflecting the depth of talent emerging from the region and beyond.
For Mekeni, its participation underscored its continuing commitment to initiatives that strengthen the local food and hospitality industry while providing opportunities for communities and the next generation of culinary talents.
The festival also offered a fitting celebration for the homegrown Pampanga brand as it marks its 40th year.
From its beginnings in Pampanga, Mekeni has grown into a Filipino food brand with a presence in more than 20 countries, while remaining closely connected to the communities and industries that have shaped its journey.
Through events such as the Clark Food and Music Festival, Mekeni continues to bring its signature flavor to celebrations while supporting the people, talents, and local industries that make Pampanga a destination for food and hospitality.I can also make this more newspaper-style and concise, with a sharper opening and a more lifestyle-oriented ending.
