Yokohama Tire Philippines Inc. (YTPI) has launched a classroom donation project at Pila Elementary School (PES) in Barangay Duquit, reinforcing its commitment to education and community development as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 20, 2026, under YTPI’s corporate social responsibility initiative, Yokohama Cares, guided by the theme “Contributing to the Progress of the Philippines and Beyond.”
The project involves the construction of a two-storey building featuring two new classrooms to provide additional learning spaces for nearly 500 students.
Construction is expected to be completed within five to six months.
YTPI said the initiative reflects its continuing efforts to support local communities through investments in education and facilities that help create better learning opportunities for Filipino children.
