AC aids mentally-challenged individuals

The Angeles City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin on April 22, 2022 transferred six mentally-challenged individuals in Metro Psych Facility, Pasig City for their medical treatment, as the city government continues to prioritize the welfare of every person in city.

Chief Adviser and Tactician IC Calaguas personally coordinated with Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (ACDRRMO) Rudy Simeon to transport the six mentally-challenged individuals to the said facilities.

Before transferring, health workers from Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC), conducted free medical swab tests to the six mentally-challenged individuals, who all of them tested negative for COVID-19.

Lazatin vowed that after their recovery, the city will still support their basic needs such as medical assistance. This is in line with effort of the city government to clear the streets of homeless individuals, and to provide proper care for them. (Angeles CIO)
