AC government supports local farmers

Amid the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Angeles City Government continues to support local farmers to boost their livelihood and the agriculture industry in the city.

As a testament to this commitment, Angeles City Vice-Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting led the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) on Sustainable Agriculture Program on Friday, June 24.

Cabigting represented Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. together with City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso.

The Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) on Sustainable Agriculture Program encourages farmers to become entrepreneurs amid economic challenges, limited planting areas and changing weather conditions.

The SM Foundation trains farmers on the latest farming techniques to boost their yield and produce better crops.

The KSK program also helps provide market exposure for the farmers’ products by putting these on display and sale at SM malls.  (Angeles CIO)
