Adele is back with the new song “Easy on Me”
Adele recently released her first song in five years.
Easy On Me is a ballad that chronicles the artist asking for gentleness after choosing to heal. The official music video premiered on October 15.
“Didn’t get the chance to/Feel the world around me/ I had no time to choose what I chose to do/ So go easy on me.”
“I had good intentions/ And the highest hopes/ But I know right now/ It probably doesn’t even show,” she sings emotionally and soulfully.
It seems Adele’s song interpreted that she tried to make her marriage work but realized it can’t be saved.
The Grammy-winning British superstar has been private with her relationship. But confirmed she married Simon Konecki when she won Album of the Year at the 2017 Grammys.
It was in April 2019 when the couple confirmed that they separated, which was revealed in a statement sent by email to the Associated Press by the pop-singer’s representative.
“Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always, they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment,” the emailed statement said.
Adele dedicates the album to her son Angelo.
“I just felt like I wanted to explain to him through this record, when he’s in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily choose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness,” she told British Vogue in an interview.
“It made him really unhappy sometimes. And that’s a real wound for me that I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to heal,” she explained.

Some say they can relate to “Easy on Me” when something suddenly falls apart in an instant. The fans expect the song is related to her divorce from Simon Konecki.
