Adopt, don’t shop for pets, AC mayor urges
ADOPT DON’T SHOP. Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. encourages Angeleños to adopt rescued dogs and cats at the City Veterinary Office.
The said dogs and cats were rescued inside the City College of Angeles City.
They were brought to the Angeles City Dog pound for neutering/spaying and adoption.
Mayor Lazatin ordered the construction of the new Angeles City Dog Pound at the City Hall Compound for the welfare of the rescued dogs and cats.
The city government wants to promote responsible pet ownership among Angeleño households through these free programs for pets.
Chief Adviser and Tactician IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, both known animal lovers and rescuers, have been coordinating with the City Veterinary Office to push for the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) accreditation of the city’s dog pound. Once accredited, the City Vet will be in charge of accrediting backyard breeders.
Indicated below are the steps for the pet adoption. (ANGELES CIO)
