Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. convened the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (ACDRRMC) on the evening of October 22, 2024, to lead preparations for Tropical Storm Kristine.
The ACDRRMC meeting, held via Zoom, focused on the importance of monitoring updates from the 33 Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees to ensure public safety.
The Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO), headed by Rodolfo Simeon, is conducting 24-hour monitoring of the storm and city conditions.
Mayor Lazatin directed the City Engineers’ Office, led by Helen Ayro, and Environmental Management System Head Kiko Pangilinan, to remain on standby for emergencies. He also instructed the City Health Office to deploy doctors to health centers and ensured that the City Social Welfare and Development Office has sufficient food supplies. Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel was tasked with preparing evacuation centers, ensuring they are equipped with food, non-food items, and medicine.
